Military Education Benefits
We offer a variety of tuition assistance programs and veteran-specific funding options.

The Post-9/11 GI Bill® is available to veterans who have served at least 90 days of active duty service after September 10, 2001. This benefit provides comprehensive financial assistance, covering full or partial tuition costs, a monthly housing allowance, and a stipend for books and supplies. Eligible service members can also transfer unused benefits to their spouse or children.
The Montgomery GI Bill® provides educational funding for active-duty service members (Chapter 30) and selected reserve members (Chapter 1606). These benefits offer a monthly stipend to help cover tuition and other education-related expenses. Eligibility depends on the length of service, duty status, and completion of a service obligation. Unlike the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, this program does not include a housing stipend.
Veterans with a service-connected disability may qualify for Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E) benefits. This program helps veterans prepare for and secure meaningful employment by covering tuition costs, providing career counseling, and offering job placement assistance. It also funds additional training, certifications, and other educational opportunities necessary for professional success.

The Wisconsin Veterans Education Grant provides financial assistance to eligible Wisconsin veterans attending approved private and public institutions. This grant helps cover tuition costs and is available to veterans who meet residency and service requirements.
Members of the Wisconsin National Guard may qualify for the National Guard Tuition Grant, which reimburses a portion of tuition costs for courses completed at eligible institutions. This benefit is designed to support Guard members in pursuing higher education while continuing their service.
The Grant includes a $2,000 maximum grant per semester or session for the qualifying veteran, spouse, or dependent. To apply students must complete an application form on the Higher Educational Aids Board Website.
The MyCAA program provides up to $4,000 in financial assistance to spouses of active-duty service members. This benefit helps cover tuition costs for education and training programs that lead to portable, high-demand careers.
The GI Bill® STEM Extension program provides additional financial assistance to veterans pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. This extension helps cover tuition and related expenses beyond the standard GI Bill® benefits, ensuring veterans can complete high-demand, technical degrees.
