Connect with Peers & Faculty through Cohort Community and Residency
Enhance your DBA experience with two in-person residencies at our Mequon, Wisconsin campus as part of our flexible 3-year online program. Kick off your journey by meeting your cohort and professors during the first residency, then continue your coursework and discussions online. In your final year, reconvene on campus for the second three-day residency, solidifying connections and preparing for the final stages of your degree.
The online format connects students with a diverse cohort of peers from various industries and backgrounds. This network provides a platform for exchanging ideas, collaborating on research, and building professional relationships that extend beyond the program, enriching the educational experience and offering valuable connections in the business world.
Doctorate in Business Administration FAQ
The program fosters a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging students to view learning as an ongoing journey. The curriculum instills a passion for inquiry and knowledge acquisition, equipping graduates with the skills necessary to adapt to the evolving business landscape.
To be accepted into our online Doctorate in Business Administration, candidates must:
- -Official transcript from the accredited institution where you received your master's degree
- -Resume or CV
- -Academic writing sample (can be from a recent master's program)
- -Participate in a brief video-conference interview.
- -Applicants for whom English is a second language must provide proof of English proficiency
Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year. For summer semester consideration, all admission items are due no later than May 1. For spring semester consideration, all admission items are due no later than November 1. Applicants are encouraged to submit application materials early, as cohort sizes are limited.
The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) curriculum at Concordia University Wisconsin is designed to equip professionals with advanced leadership and business research skills. It includes 60 credits, combining 24 credits in research and business courses with 6 dissertation credits. Students may transfer up to 30 credits. The program begins with the dissertation process from day one, allowing continuous progress, and features a three-day residency for peer collaboration at the beginning and end of the program.
The curriculum is designed to develop scholar-practitioner skills, enabling students to address practical business challenges. Through grounded research methods, students learn to transform organizations for improved performance, applying evidence-based decision-making skills to real-world scenarios.
